Game of Thrones S3 hits stores February

The third season of American fantasy series Game of Thrones is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray across the United Kingdom on 17 February 2014, distributors have announced.

The home entertainment releases contain the complete season as well as deleted scenes, “unseen” bonus content, a ‘Guide to Westeros’, and a look inside the now-infamous The Rains of Castermere episode.

A limited edition of the season 3 Blu-ray will also be available exclusively from Amazon.co.uk, including a sculpture of Daenerys’s dragon from the season’s poster art – with an “impressive wingspan and a highly detailed tail, which wraps around the core of the piece”. It is described as a “highly textured collectable” made from “durably heavy weight material […] with a weathered effect evoking the feel of Westeros and a bygone era”.

Game of Thrones will return for its fourth season on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK later this year.
