‘Insatiable’ demand adds more Still Game stage dates

An additional five performances of popular BBC comedy Still Game’s stage revival have been scheduled following what writers and stars Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill said was an “insatiable” level of public demand.

The newest planned performances will take place at the SSE Hydro on Friday 19, Saturday 20, and Sunday 21 September 2014.

Tickets for those performances will go on sale tomorrow morning at 9 AM, selling at a face value of between £30 and £45.

There will be 21 performances in total – despite original plans to put on only 4.

Kiernan and Hemphill said they were still “utterly overwhelmed by the public’s response to the show’s return”, even though they “always knew there was an appetite for Still Game”.

Details on the stage show are still sparse, but it will return to the fictional setting of Craiglang and reunite, for the first time in six years, the full original cast from the television programme, which ran for five years on BBC Scotland.

You can find out more on the SSE Hydro’s website here.
